An exposed timber floor and feature roof space with exposed beams, flush fitting low energy lighting adds to the elegance of clean solid log walls.

Built to the highest standards using graded Northern European Spruce from sustainable sources, Logstyle buildings are guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years and properly cared for will give years and years of pleasure.

Construction

Wall Log

Walls constructed of 70mm x 160mm rebated, draft proof, interlocking corner joints, incorporating a triple tongue and groove construction from High Grade Northern European Spruce.

Internal Walls

The internal walls are constructed from the same material as the external walls. The internal wall positions can be changed to suit individual requirements

Doors and Windows

High performance, purpose made doors and windows, manufactured to the highest standards in laminated Northern European Pine with a three lacquer impregnated finish. Windows are tilt and turn, with locking handles, also fitted with an Assa locking mechanisms throughout and toughened “E” sealed double glazing as standard.

Window and door positions can be changed without affecting the overall price. Where additional windows and doors are required an additional charge will be incurred.

Roof and Finish

The roof construction is made up of purlins 70mm x 200mm, the roof is then covered externally with tongue and groove board 22mm x 120mm spanning over the beams. All beams are designed in accordance with the structural engineers recommendations.

A breathable membrane is laid over the roof boarding to form a protective barrier over which a choice of Katepal Shingles are available from our range. Katepal shingles meet the requirements of the European Standard EN544.

Ceilings

Insulated with Trio-Iso Super Nine offering 14 layers of insulation, equivalent to 200mm of mineral wool insulation. Then covered with an 18mm x 110mm tongue and groove ceiling board.

Foundations

To be built on suitable concrete foundation, exact specification to be advised upon during site survey.

Flooring

A timber sub frame 45mm x 160mm forming the floor joists at 400mm centres, 100mm of insulation between the joists and 28mm x 110mm floorboards.
